Rosa Parks

Rosa Louise McCauley was born on the 4th of Febuary 1913 in Tuskegee-Alabama-. Her mother-Leona McCauley-was a teacher ,and her father -James McCauley-was a carpenter.

When Rosa was still a child, she suffered from poor health due to chronic tonsillitis. Through she stayed at Tuskegee with her parents, she moved with her mother to Montgomery after her parents got seperated.

Rosa until eleven , attended rural segregated schools. She took academic and vocational courses at the Industrial School for girlsin Montgomery. In her autobiography, she recalls the time she was shown kindness by white strangers ; although, more often than not,she could not ignore the racism in her society everytime she was bullied by white children in her nieghbourhood.

Later on , she attended a labortory school set up by Alabama State Teachers College for Negroes. However , her education was short-lived as she dropped out of school to take care of her grandmother and mother ,both whom had became ill.

When Rosa Parks was 42 years old she was at the back of the bus ,because black people can not sit at the front of the bus . As the the bus drove more and more , more passenagers came on the bus so the busdriver told Rosa Parks had to get of the seat and let the white passenagers on , and her to stand up. The bus driver got furious and threatened her if she does not get up he will call the cops . She calmly said'' You may do that.''

So the busdriver called the cops and they came straight away to the bus and the cops arrested her and took her to jail. Once they arrived at the police station they sent her straight to jail. But luckily for Rosa Parks her friends paid a fine to release her , and they accpected it.But still Rosa will not give up on the seat she sat on even if she got arrested again -twice- she still will not give up.

But sadly in 2005 October the Twenty- Fourth Rosa Parks died , she still left a legacy for the world that everyone should be respected and treated fairly and everyone should never give up.
