Dacorum Borough Council and Cardo have identified properties in your area that require essential repair and maintenance works. Over the coming months, Cardo will be carrying out these improvements, with the main works focused on replacing roofs to DBC-owned properties in the neighbourhood.
Due to the scale of the project, Cardo will establish a site compound in the area and arrange for the delivery of building materials throughout the works period.
This page has been created to keep you informed with key updates about the project. All relevant information, including progress updates and important notices, will be added here so you can stay up to date on how and when the works will be completed.

Will There Be Any Disruption?
We aim to keep disruption to a minimum for all tenants and residents. While it is not always possible to carry out construction works without some disturbance, our priority is to ensure you remain informed and that any inconvenience is kept as low as possible.
To help reduce disruption, we have:
- Scheduled deliveries of building materials between 9:30am and 2:30pm to avoid peak school run times.
- Ensured work will not start before 8:00am.
- Reminded operatives to park considerately within the neighbourhood.

As part of improving our tenancy services, we’ve launched a new customer portal – MyDacorum. It’s designed to give you a faster, easier and more secure way to manage your council services online.
Through MyDacorum, you can:
- Make payments (rent, Council Tax, invoices, contents insurance, licence fees, benefit overpayments)
- Check bin collection dates and set up text reminders
- Access your Council Tax account through 'Citizens Access' – view statements, make applications and request changes
- View live rent statements
- Report complaints or issues
- Request services (waste equipment, assisted collections, garages)
- Track technical support requests
You can easily update your details by completing the ‘About You’ survey, available through your MyDacorum account. It’s quick, simple, and helps us improve our services for everyone.
We also want to make sure we have up-to-date information about you, so we can tailor our services to meet your needs. For example, if you tell us about a disability, health condition or mobility need, we can ensure any contractors working in your home are aware and can prioritise your repair requests appropriately.
