Dacorum Borough Council is planning to bring in a new contract for repairs, maintenance, and building work to our homes. This new contract will take the place of the current Total Asset Management Contract delivered by Cardo. Before we make any decisions, we want to be open and involve our leaseholders every step of the way.
Why are we sharing this with you?
By law, leaseholders must be consulted before the Council agrees to certain contracts that could affect service charges.
We want you to have the chance to look at the proposed contract and share your thoughts or concerns before anything is finalised.
What does this contract mean for Leaseholders?
The contract sets out how repairs and maintenance will be delivered, the standards expected, and how performance will be monitored.
Leaseholders may see changes in how repairs are reported, scheduled, and communicated.
The contract includes measures to ensure value for money, quality of work, and resident satisfaction.
How to see the documents:
The full contract is quite long and detailed, so we’ve split it into sections to make it easier to read. Each section can be downloaded as a PDF from the ‘Contract Documents and Summaries’ section on this page.
These documents use a lot of technical language. To make them easier to understand, we’ve created a 'Summary Document', highlighting the main points for each section.
These documents will be available to view for 30 days, from 1st December to 30th December.
Next Steps:
Review the documents and summaries.
Submit any questions or feedback by 30th December. To do this, please use our new online form. It’s quick, secure, helps us help you faster and keep track of your request.
The Council will consider all feedback before making a final decision.
