Welcome to the Summer Housing Open Day!

Join us on Saturday 6th September 2025 for the first Open Day held in summer. It will be held at the Grovehill Adventure Playground between 11am - 4pm.

At this family friendly event, kindly sponsored by Bugler and Cardo, you will be able to meet and talk to teams from our Housing service. They will be on hand to tell you about the support we can offer, but also to answer and questions you might have and to get feedback on how we are doing.

To help us ensure everyone has the best experience possible, we kindly ask you to register for the event in advance, and select an arrival time. Registration is quick and easy, whether you're coming for the whole day or just popping in, please take a moment to sign up.

Keeping the Kids Entertained

Throughout the day there will be supervised activities to keep the kids entertained, including:

  • The adventure playground
  • Free face painting
  • Laser tag (ages 8+)
  • Dodgeball (all ages welcome)
  • Parachute games (all ages welcome)
  • Colouring competition

Enjoy the Free Food and Drink

Participating guests will be eligible to get free food and drink from the on-site food vendors.

When you register at the reception desks on the day, you will be given a “Stamp Card” which will get stamped at each stall you visit. When you visit enough stalls and receive stamps you will be able to exchange the stamp card for a food token to hand to the caterers and receive your free food.


Getting to the Event

Please be aware that parking at the venue will be limited, so we recommend arriving early or considering alternative travel options if you can. We’ve reserved a number of accessible parking spaces on-site for those who need them. For everyone else, overflow parking is available just a short 5-minute walk away.

Shuttle Bus Service

As the parking is limited we wanted to ensure those wil cars can easily park and access the event.

We have provided a 13-seater shuttle bus service between Gadebridge Park Car Park and the Grovehill Adventure Playground. The bus will run from the Gadebridge Car Park bus stop.

The service shall be run by Community Action Dacorum and will run every 30 minutes. This is a free car park and shuttle service.

Parking

There will be limited parking available at the venue itself. We will have parking stewards available to help people find safe parking.

Public Transport

There are three bus stops all within a 4-7 minute walk of the Grovehill Adventure Playground.

Access at the Venue

The Grovehill Adventure Playground is an accessible building.

  • There will be accessible parking spaces in the car park.
  • There is ramp access at the front entrance for wheelchair users or people with mobility issues.
  • The event is being held in a single story building
  • The event hall will be setup so there is an accessible route for attendees
