Consultation has concluded

We are in the process of preparing a new Local Plan for the borough. The second stage of this process was the consultation on our draft Local Plan called 'the Emerging Strategy for Growth' in 2020/21.


We consulted on the Emerging Strategy for Growth from 29th November 2020 to 28th February 2021.

This document set out our proposed approach to accommodating growth across Dacorum, including draft site allocations for housing and employment (and associated infrastructure), and the draft policies that will be used to manage development within the borough.

The team at Dacorum thank everyone who took part in the consultation. We have prepared a Consultation Summary Report on the key issues raised in these responses, and identified some recommendations and next steps regarding the continued progression of the Local Plan. We have also published all of the responses received as an appendix to the main summary report.

In the Autumn of 2021 we sent a Local Plan Update Newsletter to the contacts on our database to explain the progress of the Local Plan.
