Regulation 19 Consultation - Dacorum Local Plan to 2041
The consultation on the Pre-Submission Dacorum Local Plan to 2041 (Regulation 19) opened at 12pm (midday) on 4 November 2024. All representations must be submitted and received by the Council no later than 12pm on Tuesday 17 December 2024.
The Local Plan sets out our approach to accommodating growth across Dacorum, the sites we are proposing, and the policies that will guide our decisions on development and regeneration in the borough. To view the Plan and the evidence library, please click here.
In order to be considered by the Planning Inspector, representations will be required to reflect on the legal compliance and soundness of the Local Plan, referring to specific policy and paragraph numbers. Please review the Statement of Representations Procedure, and find guidance below on how to make a representation, and what should be considered.
Responses must be made using the representation form. You can download the representation form here.
Once you have completed the form, please submit it by following the link at the bottom of this page. Dacorum Borough Council are unable to accept emails as formal responses.
Guidance on making a representation:
Please download the representation form. The form is a word document. You may need to click 'enable editing' in order to complete your response.
Each comment that you wish to make must be made on a separate 'Part B'. For example, if you wanted to comment on policy H8 and paragraph 3.45, you must complete 'Part B' of the representation form twice.
If you wish to submit more than one form, please upload your representation as a compressed/zip file. If you are only submitting one form, you may upload a single Word document.
When making representations on the Dacorum Local Plan to 2041, the following questions should be considered:
- Is the Plan legally compliant? Does the plan comply with the relevant legislation and regulations in the way that it has been prepared, and it its content?
- Is the Plan 'sound'? Has the plan been 'positively prepared'? Is it robustly justified and evidence-led? Will it be effective in what it sets out to achieve? Is it consistent with regional and national planning policy?
