Introduction and Background
Little Hay Golf Complex is a facility featuring an 18-hole main golf course and 6-hole short course, a 23-bay driving range, a FootGolf and a DiscGolf course, and a clubhouse. It is a pay-and-play complex operated in partnership with Dacorum Borough Council, open to members, casual players, residents and visitors.
We are conducting this survey to gather feedback from residents and user groups to help shape the future of Little Hay Complex. The facility promotes physical activity, outdoor recreation and we want to ensure it continues to meet the needs of its users and the wider community.
Survey Objectives
This survey forms part of a programme of public engagement regarding the sports, play and leisure services, the findings will help to inform the procurement of a new management contact. The main objectives are to:
Consult with residents and users – Gather input from current members, occasional users, residents, and visitors about what they value most at Little Hay (the golf course, driving range, footgolf/disc golf, clubhouse, etc.).
Envision improvements – Engage with the community on ideas for how a transformed or improved Little Hay could look in the future, including suggestions for new activities, facility upgrades, or service changes.
Understand usage patterns and gaps – Learn how people use Little Hay currently (frequency, which facilities) and identify any gaps in service or programming (e.g. are there activities or times not currently provided that users want?).
Analyse satisfaction and impact – Assess satisfaction levels with current facilities and services and understand the social or community impact of the complex (how it benefits users and the wider community). Use this data to inform planning and ensure the complex continues to deliver social value.
Plan future investments and services – Using the feedback, explore options and ideas for future improvements or investments (e.g. facility upgrades, new programs, better accessibility) to ensure Little Hay meets community needs and remains sustainable and welcoming.
We have created the following survey to gather your views. If you live in Dacorum or use Little Hay Golf Complex (now or in the past), please share your thoughts by filling in this survey. This survey will open on Friday 1 August and close on Sunday 31 August.
Your feedback is very valuable and will help us shape the future development of Little Hay Golf Complex.
