We are reviewing our Licensing Enforcement Policy.
Why are we doing this?
Our Licensing Enforcement Policy is updated and refreshed every five years. This is a local policy and is used to help us make decisions on all areas of licensing enforcement.
What is proposed?
We have not made any significant changes to the policy, we have however, added two new points and clarification on 'strikes' for taxi and private hire drivers. The two new points are:
Timeframes for responses to incidents based on a risk rating of high, medium, or low.
Data sharing - an explanation of how data sharing works.
The remainder of changes are updated links. You are invited to comment on the revisions, or the policy generally.
Once consultation ends on 25th March 2026, we will consider the responses received and present them to a future meeting of the Licensing Committee. The report will be available to everyone that takes part in the consultation and a copy will be available on our website.
