Dacorum Tenants Attend Prestigious House of Lords Event
Tenant Voice Panel members Susan and Susie recently represented Dacorum Borough Council at the launch of Cardo's Consumer Standards Training Module, held at the House of Lords on 14 July 2026. The event brought together housing professionals, partners and tenants from across the sector to discuss the future of resident-focused services and the importance of consumer standards.
The evening provided a unique opportunity for Susan and Susie to meet sector leaders, hear from expert speakers and learn more about the work being done to strengthen tenant involvement in housing services. Both spoke highly of the warm welcome they received and the opportunity to take part in such a prestigious event.

Susan said:

"I had the honour of attending the Cardo House of Lords
event
on 14 July 2026. It was an amazing evening. I was made to feel so welcome and met some lovely people from the teams at Dacorum Borough Council and Cardo.
This amazing opportunity gave me an insight into how the teams have passion and commitment in working with tenants and the local community.
The venue was pretty spectacular too!"
The event highlighted the strong partnership between Dacorum Borough Council and Cardo, and the shared commitment to improving services for residents. It also demonstrated the important role tenants play in helping shape the future of housing services by bringing their experiences and perspectives to conversations at every level.
Opportunities such as this ensure that tenant voices are heard beyond local meetings and that residents can contribute to wider discussions taking place across the housing sector. A huge thank you to Susan and Susie for representing Dacorum so positively and for continuing to support tenant engagement across the borough. Their involvement helps ensure that the voices of local residents remain at the heart of the services we provide.
Thank you for your contribution!
