From Feedback to Change: Tenants Help Shape New Homes
Members of Dacorum Borough Council’s Tenant Voice Panel recently attended a site visit to see first-hand the progress of new council homes currently under construction. The event was also attended by Simy Dhyani, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Housing, along with representatives from Homes England, a key Council partner whose grant funding is helping to deliver the new homes.
The tour was hosted by Bugler Developments, the Council’s construction partner, together with members of the Council’s Housing Development Team.
Paradise Depot is a residential development comprising 56 apartments for social rent, alongside a new community hub for DENS, the local homelessness charity. Tenant Voice Panel members were keen to see how tenant feedback and lessons learned from previous developments have helped shape the design and delivery of new homes across the borough.
The visit provided members with an opportunity to tour the site, ask questions, and speak directly with senior housing colleagues about how tenant insight is being translated into practical improvements for both current and future developments.
Visits such as this ensure that tenants are not only kept informed but are actively involved in conversations that help influence and improve the delivery of social housing in Dacorum.
